Using Griddle
Griddle is free to play in a web browser. There is no account, so there is nothing to register, transfer or terminate. Use the site for personal, non-commercial enjoyment.
What you may not do
- Scrape or bulk-download the puzzle corpus for republication elsewhere.
- Attempt to disrupt the service or the experience of other players.
- Present Griddle puzzles as your own work or as those of another publisher.
Who operates Griddle
Griddle is made and run by an independent developer based in India, in a personal capacity. There is no company behind it and no investor: it is one person’s side project, funded by advertising and nothing else.
[email protected] reaches the operator directly and is the right address for anything at all, legal matters included. Where a law or a regulator requires the operator’s full legal name and address, they will be given promptly on a request made to that address; they are simply not posted on a public page, for the ordinary reason that a private individual’s home address is not something to publish.
Ownership
The rules of the underlying puzzle families are classic and free to use. Griddle’s implementations, software, published puzzles, names, artwork and site content are ours. Griddle is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to any other puzzle publisher; where another product is named anywhere on this site it is a factual reference only.
The typefaces are third-party work used under the SIL Open Font License 1.1, which asks that its notice travel with the fonts: Baloo 2 (© 2019 The Baloo 2 Project Authors) and Nunito Sans (© 2016 The Nunito Sans Project Authors). Both licences are published alongside the font files at Baloo 2 and Nunito Sans.
Your data
Your progress lives on your device, not on our servers. Clearing your browser data deletes it permanently and we cannot restore it. Export it from the stats page if it matters to you.
No warranty
Griddle is provided as is. We work hard on correctness - every puzzle is proved to have one solution before it is published - but we do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free, and we are not liable for any loss arising from its use.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts of India have jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them. If you are a consumer elsewhere, this does not take away rights your local law gives you that cannot be signed away.
